Le Midi Wine Bar

RDA/NY designed the brand identity, naming, signage, and interiors for Le Midi, taking cues from 1960s newspaper mastheads and French New Wave cinema.

Le Midi brings a Mediterranean tradition to Chicago: l’heure d’apéro, the time before dinner or after a show to take a glass of wine and a few selected bites. Along with bold typography and colors, rich materials – leather, tambour wood and brass – translate a specific era and style into cinematic night and day settings. Le Midi has been listed among the Top 3 new bars and Top 3 new restaurants by Chicago Magazine and has been featured in the New York Times Travel section.
